Master Aviation Educator

Master Aviation Educator

The Master Aviation Educator (MAE) accreditation was developed to recognize those individuals who are working in academia, industry, government, or the private sector as aviation educators, but who either do not hold FAA instructor certifications (e.g., CFI, BGI, AGI, IGI), or who may not necessarily be working under an FAA instructor certification.

For example, many aviation educators hold teaching credentials issued by state or federal agencies, the military, and industry who are teaching aviation related subjects to high school, technical school, and college students, CAP cadets, simulator clients, mechanics, IAs, avionics technicians, and others, but who are not teaching under FAA-issued instructor certificates. It is specifically for these educators that the MAE designation was created.
