Rusty Sachs, a 7-time Master and SAFE member, has been  granted Master Instructor Emeritus (MIE) status in recognition of his many years of commitment to quality aviation education as an accredited Master.  A Marine helicopter pilot (HMM-362) and Vietnam veteran, he also served as a long-time pilot examiner and FAASTeam representative in the FAA's Portland, Maine, FSDO area.
